BEHIND THE PLAYER

THIS IS NOAH EDDINS.

I first got into padel through my interest in racket sports and quickly became hooked on the competitive side of the game. What started as something I enjoyed playing developed into a serious ambition to compete, improve and see how far I could take the sport.
My game has developed from simply enjoying the sport to training and competing with a much more serious mindset. I have worked on becoming more consistent, more aggressive and more tactical, while learning how to construct points rather than relying only on individual shots.
I enjoy the competitiveness most. I love the feeling of being in a close match, having to adapt to opponents and finding a way to win points when the pressure is on. I also enjoy seeing the results of the work I put in between competitions.
The hardest part has been balancing development, competition and everything else outside padel. Improving quickly means being honest about weaknesses and putting in work on areas that are not always the most enjoyable.
I am currently working hardest on consistency, tactical decision-making and becoming more complete around the net. I also want to improve my overheads and finishing ability so I can turn pressure into points more effectively.
I am still young and feel that I am only at the beginning of my padel journey. My goal is to become one of the top padel players in Ireland, compete at a higher level and keep pushing myself through tournaments, training and coaching. I also want to use my journey to help grow padel and inspire other young players to take the sport seriously.

SPORTING BACKGROUND

Basketball has been a major part of my sporting background. I play competitive basketball as a guard and have also played football. Basketball has helped develop my footwork, reactions, competitiveness, coordination and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

THE FLO CONNECTION

I connected with FLO through my involvement in competitive padel and reaching out as I looked to build partnerships with brands that matched my ambitions. The relationship developed into FLO supporting me with equipment and a personalised racket.

Being supported by FLO means a lot to me because it gives me the opportunity to represent a brand while continuing to develop as a young player. It also feels like recognition of the work I am putting into padel and gives me extra motivation to keep improving.

WHY THIS BUILD

The diamond shape and 18K carbon setup suit my attacking style because I want a racket that gives me confidence when playing aggressively and looking to finish points. The customised foam setup is designed to give me the combination of firmness, control and response that I want from my game. The racket is also personalised specifically around me, which makes it feel like a true signature racket rather than just an off-the-shelf model.

The design represents both sides of my sporting identity, with Irish and American flags included in the graphics. It is black and grey and includes my signature, making it personal to me. The idea behind the racket is to create something that represents where I come from, where I want to go and the legacy I want to build in padel.

12–18 MONTH TARGET

To keep improving my level, perform strongly in Irish competitions and establish myself as one of Ireland's most promising young padel players.
Over the next 12–18 months I want to compete consistently at a high level, improve my ranking and results, gain more tournament experience and continue developing my game with FLO. I also want to build a stronger profile around my padel and coaching.
Success would mean becoming one of the top players in Ireland, competing successfully at major national competitions and continuing to progress towards higher-level padel. I want to look back and know that I maximised my potential, represented FLO well and helped grow the sport for younger players.
